REEL Training and Development programme

Following an extensive assessment of research and evaluation culture and training needs within the Council, the HDRC has designed a bespoke training and development programme. The offer is focused around four key themes: Research, Evidence, Evaluation, and Learning.

This a structured approach to learning that addressed the bespoke needs of teams and helps staff build the skills and knowledge needed to embed evidence into everyday decision-making, policy, and practice.

The framework helps staff learn how to collect, analyse, and apply evidence effectively, with a specific focus on practical research and evaluation.

It also supports learning around the building blocks of health, such as housing, education, and transport by recognising their role in tackling health inequalities and improving population outcomes.
