About the event

FOREST (The giving Families Opportunities and Resources for Early years Support Together)

Objective

Funding is frequently made available for research on areas that tackle the building blocks of good health which the Council has the statutory duty or responsibility for. Bidding successfully for research funding allows us to be able to bring additional funding into the council in order to be able to understand and describe the impact of our work.

This webinar aims to help prepare us to bid successfully in future.  Case studies of successful research bids will be used during the webinar as a means to share the insight and learning of the HDRC team upskilling colleagues to bid for, and hopefully successful in receiving research funding.

What was covered:

  • Overview of the FOREST programme
  • Identification of funding
  • Reasons for applying
  • The process of writing the bid, reflections, feedback from funders, recommendations for future applications
